They shouldn't give that Splint bloke a whole bit to himself, I knew his dad & I'm telling you, they'll regret it before long, it'll be just like it used to be.

He was a door to door mangle salesman - spat a lot, but only at hedgehogs. There were a lot in those days - the council had all on keeping them clean, and your dad didn't help much. If it hadn't been for him, Brampton might have won the 'Alderman Foskin Clean Vermin Memorial Trophy' more often.

Are you the Splints that used to live next door to us down Chester Street then?

Just had an idea, if we all write in this section, those naughty people who are trying to discredit the Splints and in turn bring down the whole essence of forum in Brampton, might not notice us.

We apologise for the interruption to our normal service; we have been invaded by TWATS.

Have you noticed that the TWATS have only attacked our section, the Splints. Is it a vendetta.

By Jove I think I’ve got it. What you’re saying is this- When somebody writes a comment to this forum, somebody else (not necessarily the same person) has to write back trying to top it, either with humour, play on words, or something else. Well I never, and I thought I had to do it all.
